Private Piano Instruction
Private Piano Instruction supports young students as they grow from curiosity into confident and independent learners.
Lessons are thoughtfully structured to build healthy technique, reading fluency, and expressive playing — while preserving a genuine enjoyment of music.
Students progress within a clear and steady learning framework designed for long-term musical development.
Participation in ABRSM examinations or selected competitions is considered thoughtfully, based on each student’s individual progress and readiness.
Musicianship & Aural Skills Group Class
Small-group musicianship classes strengthen rhythm, sight reading, ear training, and foundational theory.
These classes support musical independence and reinforce skills developed in private lessons, while also welcoming students who are beginning their structured musical journey.
Summer Piano Program
Located in the Bay Area Peninsula, the Summer Piano Programs offer a structured and welcoming introduction to music for young learners.
Programs are held during Weeks 2–4 of June and include two two-week sessions organized by age or grade level, as well as an all-ages introductory camp designed as an entry point for students exploring their interest in music.
Each session balances musicianship training, guided repertoire study, and collaborative activities within a focused learning environment.
At the conclusion of each camp, students are invited to participate in a studio recital, providing a meaningful performance experience to celebrate their progress.
Performance & Artist Development
Performance is viewed as an essential part of artistic growth.
Students are provided with regular opportunities to refine their stage presence and musical communication through monthly studio classes and biannual studio recitals.
As active members of MTAC and CMTANC, students may participate in branch recitals, association events, and selected competitions appropriate to their level of development.
Advanced students may also have access to high-level masterclasses within the Bay Area, including selective opportunities hosted in collaboration with Steinway & Sons, as well as curated music appreciation experiences designed for a small group of dedicated learners.
While examinations and competitions are available as part of a student’s development, they are approached as meaningful milestones within a broader artistic journey.
